161. It doesn't surprise me that Tina hasn't responded to Ike's death. Tina and Ike were best friends before getting together romantically. They had great respect for each other and shared a life and family together for many years. His drug addiction caused him to treat her terribly during their marriage. Tina forgave Ike for what he did to her. She has stated for years that she always wanted him to find success. It hurt her when she heard bad things about him and made her feel good when good things happened. In 1999, Tina attended her mothers cremation, but did not attend the funeral because she wanted the day to be about her mother. Tina still loves Ike and wants this time to be about him. Any commentary would bring the attention her way and she wants this to be about Ike.

163. Everyone here was affected by the Hollywood depiction of Whats Love Got to Do With It. In releasing a statement that simply reinforces her ambivalence about someone who dragged her country ass out of he country.....why didn't she simply elect not to say anything. It complete horse %%$ to suggest she is "saying" nothing" i.e. if you don't have anything good to say.. Tina is no hero and I actually respect her les now.

164. I second that, "What's life got to do with it? Tina Turner is a class act and would not let Ike Turner drag her into the gutter. Tina has moved on with her life in France....Congratulations to Tina for holding her head up and walking proud (She is Proud Tina)......Nothing will stop Tina Turner and is a great entertainer. We (the general public) would like to see her in a concert again on tour...maybe someday!!!!!!
