92. Something that really surprised me was the number of people in this thread who think that wearing fur is cool, or fashionable. In reality, I have a large group of friends, family, and coworkers, from all different walks of life and political persuasions, and NONE of them think wearing fur is okay. I had one cousin who had a rabbit fur jacket and when she found out the furs weren't some sort of byproduct, that the rabbits were skinned, killed, and disposed of, she was horrified. She actually thought the rabbits were being killed for meat too! LOL. And then I realized, the "furlovers" are probably the same 2 or 3 trolls posting over and over again, looking to stir things up. So....next topic please!

93. I used to have a fur coat back in the day. Now I wouldn't have one because of course now being older and wiser I think it horrific an animal's life should be sacrified for vanity. But also because they are so damn heavy. They are absolutely hot and stifling to walk around a mall in, I used to sweat like a hog in my fur. It's got to be pure vanity here with Blige and LaBelle in their furs because the man made materials are sooooo much lighter, breathable and more comfortable. Shoes are a little different. The leather is from animals already used to provide meat and milk to humans and shoes are much more important than fur on the back. I generally just wear runners but I don't begrudge leather shoes on anyone else.

99. Oh screw PETA. If people want to wear fur. let them. That's their choice. It's amazing how a particular race has more compassion for some animals than they do human beings (yeah, read in between the lines).
